It seems a bit too obvious and pretty lame to use the Get Carter Theme as a sample. It must have been sampled to death and back again. I do hang my head in shame over this.
This track actually came about when, to mark the 40th anniversary of the movie which was filmed right here on our doorstep, a competition was run inviting remixers to rework the iconic theme tune. This was The Pimptones' effort. It didn't fair as well in the competition as we had hoped, perhaps because it was completed about a year and a half after the deadline and the judges were being pretty strict about details like that. Yeah i know, right? Losers.
